The Frederick Obeng Adom has, through the Adom Foundation, supported development efforts in the Upper West Akim District in the Eastern Region.
At Amafrom, a cocoa farming community, the foundation donated 30 bags of cement and iron sheets to the chief, Nana Teytepke IV, and residents to help complete the community’s abandoned durbar grounds project.
Speaking on behalf of the foundation, organizer Seliky Aminu said the former MP remains committed to supporting his constituents even after leaving office, adding that his focus is on continued community development.
The chief and residents of Amafrom expressed gratitude to the Adom Foundation and NPP executives for their support, describing the intervention as timely and impactful.
Nana Teytepke IV also used the occasion to appeal to the government led by President John Dramani Mahama and the Minister for Communications, Samuel Nartey George, to urgently address poor telecommunications infrastructure in the area. He noted that residents, teachers, and students are struggling with network coverage and internet access.
Later in the day, the Adom Foundation team also donated two brand new 32-inch television sets to Obinimda D/A Primary and Junior High School, which is regarded as one of the best schools in the district.
School authorities expressed appreciation for the donation, describing it as a boost to teaching and learning, especially in improving access to educational content.
