FREE PRIMARY HEALTHCARE: MINISTER CLARIFIES SCOPE AND PAYMENT POLICY

The Minister of Health, Hon. Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, has clarified that the government’s Free Primary Healthcare initiative ends at the polyclinic level and is not intended to compete with the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS). He stressed that no individual should be required to pay money for services covered under the Free Primary Healthcare programme.
