Eleven people sustained injuries in a head-on collision on the Accra–Kumasi Highway.
The accident occurred at Frimpongso Junction near Enyiresi and involved a Toyota Camry and a Toyota Voxy.
The casualties included six males and five females, all suffering varying degrees of injuries.
Emergency responders from the Anyinam Fire Station were dispatched to the scene at 17:27 hours. Upon arrival, they found that quick action by bystanders had already helped rescue the victims, who were swiftly transported to the Enyiresi Government Hospital for urgent medical care.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the collision resulted from the Toyota Camry driver attempting to overtake another vehicle, which led to a direct crash with the oncoming Toyota Voxy.
The impact caused extensive damage to both vehicles, with officials estimating repair costs at approximately GH₵170,000 and salvage expenses around GH₵350,000.
