Hobor Queen Mother Appeals for Road Development and Educational Support
The Ewe Queen Mother for the Hobor Electoral Area, Mama Gah Hobor 1, has expressed gratitude to the government for its efforts toward community development and called for continued support to address the pressing needs of residents.
Mama Gah Hobor 1 appealed to the government to pay urgent attention to the poor condition of roads in the community. She acknowledged that road works have already commenced but noted that the Accra–Kumasi Expressway project has affected the progress of the local road development.
She said residents continue to face serious difficulties using the roads, particularly because of excessive dust and poor road conditions. According to her, the situation becomes even more challenging for pregnant women and residents who need to access health facilities for childbirth.
The Queen Mother also commended the performance of students from Hobor M/A Basic School in the BECE, saying candidates performed very well last year and also recorded good results this year.
She appealed to individuals, organisations and other stakeholders to support the school with furniture, textbooks, stationery and other educational materials to improve teaching and learning.
Mama Gah Hobor 1 further called for attention to activities involving sand winning in the community, urging the relevant authorities to ensure that such activities do not negatively affect the wellbeing and development of residents.
She expressed hope that government and other stakeholders would continue to support the Hobor community and address its development challenges.
