Hobor Okada Riders Call for Improved Roads, Market and Job Opportunities.

Mr. Moro, Organizer of the Hobor Okada Union, has appealed to the authorities to address the poor road conditions and market challenges affecting residents and workers in the area. According to him, Okada riding and farming are among the main sources of livelihood for many people in the community. He said the poor state of the roads makes their work difficult and urged the authorities to rehabilitate them. Mr. Moro also called for the creation of jobs for the youth, particularly those with limited educational opportunities. He noted that although some residents are not highly educated, they are willing to work hard and contribute to the development of the community if employment opportunities are created. He further expressed concern about frequent police interventions involving Okada riders. According to him, riders are sometimes stopped and fined between GH¢30 and GH¢50, which he said adds to the difficulties they face in making a living.
