Hobor Market Organizer Appeals for Government support Over Sanitation and Infrastructure challenges*
Madam Rashida, Hobor Market Organizer, has spoken about the major challenges facing market women at the Hobor Market.
She said the market has a public toilet, but whenever it starts producing a bad smell, the situation becomes unbearable, making it difficult for the traders to sit and work comfortably.
She also raised concerns about the lack of a urinary room and appealed for the market to be properly fenced to protect traders and improve security, particularly during the rainy season.
Madam Rashida further called for the provision of dustbins in the market to enable traders to dispose of rubbish properly, noting that the market has become dirty due to inadequate waste disposal facilities.
She appealed to the Government and relevant authorities to come to their aid by addressing these challenges and improving sanitation and other facilities at the Hobor Market.
