In a phone-in interview on ICAD TV Sports Scoreboard with Paul Napoleon Agyemang, the Public Relations Officer of Young Apostles FC, Alhaji Mahama Salia, has spoken about the club’s struggles and their fight to avoid relegation.
Salia praised the strong support from fans, noting their continuous backing despite the team’s difficult position on the league table.
Currently sitting 17th, he admitted the situation is worrying but pointed to officiating challenges as one of the factors affecting results, saying the club has raised concerns over some refereeing decisions.
He added that the Ghana Football Association has engaged clubs and assured that improvements in officiating will be made as the season progresses.
Despite their position, Alhaji Salia remains optimistic, noting that the point gap between Young Apostles and 9th place is just four, meaning survival is still within reach if performances improve.
He also highlighted their upcoming fixture against Hearts of Lions FC in Kpando, expressing confidence that the team will fight for a positive result.
He concluded by assuring supporters that Young Apostles are determined to stay in the league and continue improving their performances.
