YOU ARE OUR SWEET SALT”: GADANGME QUEEN MOTHERS HONOUR MCDAN GROUP LEADER
The Association of GaDangme Queen Mothers has honoured renowned Ghanaian entrepreneur, Daniel McKorley, in recognition of his contributions to business growth and community development.
Representing a strong network of over 500 Queen Mothers, the group paid a courtesy visit to celebrate and show solidarity with the McDan Group Executive Chairman, describing his achievements as a reflection of his cultural roots and commitment to national development.
During the ceremony, the Queen Mothers offered prayers for his continued success and presented a citation bearing the inscription “W) hi ņoo l3-w) hi ņo) n3,” which translates as “You are our own and you are our sweet salt.” The message symbolized appreciation, identity, and the value he brings to society.
Dr. McKorley, visibly moved by the gesture, reaffirmed his commitment to supporting women’s empowerment initiatives. He pledged continued assistance to the Association’s development agenda, particularly in areas that uplift women and communities.
The event ended on a celebratory note, with a vibrant photoshoot capturing moments of unity, pride, and cultural heritage.
Dr. McKorley, popularly known as McDan, is the Executive Chairman of the McDan Group, a diversified conglomerate with operations in logistics, aviation, shipping, construction, and agribusiness. Through the McDan Foundation, he has led several philanthropic efforts, including scholarships, health outreach programmes, and support for youth and women empowerment across Ghana.
