UNEMPLOYMENT FALLING AS ECONOMY SHOWS PROGRESS MR.ALEX EMMANUEL NTI
Political analyst Alex Emmanuel Nti has highlighted that unemployment in Ghana has decreased compared to 2023 and 2024, reflecting progress in government efforts to expand job opportunities and stabilize the economy. Speaking on the ICAD TV Morning Show (Ghana Nti), host Nana Nhyiraba Kwabena Asirifi asked him about employment creation. Nti said that while some citizens expected immediate jobs from the NDC, sustainable job growth requires private sector expansion and time. “Unemployment has come down. The government has worked to reset the economy and expand opportunities. Some people expected instant jobs, but sustainable employment takes time,” Nti said. He also noted that reductions in fuel prices are already putting money back into citizens’ pockets. “The amount I spent on fuel has reduced, so I now have extra funds to use elsewhere. This is already helping people manage their finances better,” he added. Nti concluded that while progress has been made, more needs to be done to ensure broader employment growth and economic stability.
