MR. SAMSON ANOMAH ADVOCATES STRONGER ECONOMIC COOPERATION WITH AFRICAN COUNTRIES
Economist Samson Anomah has called on Ghana to strengthen its economic cooperation with African countries, particularly Nigeria, as part of efforts to promote trade and regional development.
Speaking to Journalist Nhyiraba Kwabena Asirifi, Mr. Anomah suggested that Ghana should give serious consideration to partnerships with neighboring and regional economies before pursuing arrangements that could introduce additional economic or diplomatic risks.
He described Nigeria as an important potential partner and emphasized the value of strengthening relationships with countries that share regional economic interests with Ghana.
According to him, closer cooperation among African economies could create opportunities to expand trade, improve investment and support economic development.
He also stressed that Ghana must carefully evaluate the implications of its international partnerships, taking into account its existing relationships with major trading partners.
Mr. Anomah urged policymakers to prioritize partnerships that offer clear economic benefits while protecting the country's long-term interests.
