MR. ASIEDU QUESTIONS CLAIMS OF NO PROTOCOL IN SECURITY RECRUITMENT
Security expert Mr. Andrews Tetteh Asiedu has questioned claims that there are no special arrangements or unofficial channels associated with security service recruitment, describing what he believes may be happening as a possible “backdoor” process.
His comments followed a question from Journalist Nhyiraba Kwabena Asirifi during an interview on the security recruitment process.
Mr. Asiedu suggested that concerns about unofficial arrangements must be taken seriously to protect applicants from exploitation and ensure fairness.
He argued that recruitment procedures should be clear, accessible and subject to appropriate oversight so that prospective applicants understand the requirements and the official channels through which they must apply.
The security expert's remarks also highlighted the importance of accountability in public sector recruitment, particularly where large numbers of applicants are competing for limited positions.
He called for greater vigilance among citizens and urged prospective applicants to be cautious about individuals who may claim to have special connections or the ability to secure recruitment through unofficial means.
However, any specific allegations of backdoor recruitment would require independent verification before being treated as established facts.
