SECURITY EXPERT RECALLS FATALITIES ASSOCIATED WITH RECRUITMENT EXERCISE
Security expert Mr. Andrews Tetteh Asiedu has raised concerns about the human cost of security service recruitment exercises, recalling that four people reportedly lost their lives during an earlier recruitment exercise.
In an interview with Journalist Nhyiraba Kwabena Asirifi, Mr. Asiedu said the experience had left affected families and other applicants facing painful circumstances.
He criticized what he described as the politicization of security recruitment, arguing that political slogans and competition over election cycles should not be allowed to overshadow the welfare and safety of citizens.
Mr. Asiedu also referred to compensation for families affected by recruitment-related deaths, suggesting that the issue deserved serious attention.
He maintained that recruitment exercises must be organized with adequate planning, effective crowd management and appropriate safety measures to prevent further loss of life.
The security expert's comments have renewed attention on the need for transparent recruitment procedures and measures to protect applicants throughout the process.
