MR. ANDREWS ASIEDU TETTEH URGES CAUTION IN LAND SALES AND HIGH-VALUE TRANSACTIONS
Security expert Mr. Andrews Tetteh Asiedu has urged the public to exercise caution in land sales and other high-value transactions, stressing the importance of verifying the authority of individuals involved before making payments. During an interview with Journalist Nhyiraba Kwabena Asirifi, Mr. Asiedu questioned whether a family head, or Abusuapanyin, could legitimately sell family land without following the appropriate procedures and obtaining the necessary authority. His comments highlighted the need for prospective land buyers to establish who has the legal right to sell a property before committing their money. He also emphasized the importance of involving witnesses and ensuring that transactions are properly documented to reduce the risk of disputes. Mr. Asiedu's concerns extend to the need for buyers to confirm ownership, verify relevant documents and seek appropriate professional advice before entering into land agreements. He advised the public not to rely solely on verbal assurances or the status of an individual within a family or community when dealing with valuable property. The comments underscore the importance of due diligence and transparency in preventing fraudulent land transactions and protecting the interests of buyers and families.
