GOVERNMENT PROVIDES OVER 500 MOTORBIKES TO AGRICULTURAL GRADUATES FOR NATIONWIDE SERVICE

The Government of Ghana has presented more than 500 motorbikes to 506 specialised agricultural graduates to support their deployment across the country under the Feed Ghana Initiative. The presentation followed the graduates' passing-out ceremony, where they were officially commissioned to support agricultural extension services and promote modern farming practices nationwide. Speaking in an interview, a member of the initiative's Communication Team, Samuel Huntor, explained that the Feed Ghana Initiative is designed to equip farmers with practical agricultural knowledge, improved farming techniques, and modern production methods to boost food security and increase agricultural productivity. According to Mr. Huntor, the graduates will work alongside agricultural extension officers to provide technical support and training to farmers in communities across the country. He noted that their deployment is expected to enhance productivity within Ghana's agricultural sector while strengthening extension services. He further stated that the initiative will also create employment opportunities for young agricultural professionals, enabling them to apply their skills and contribute meaningfully to national development. The Feed Ghana Initiative forms part of the government's broader efforts to modernise agriculture, improve food production, and promote sustainable livelihoods through increased investment in the agricultural sector.
