BREAST CANCER IS NOT A SPIRITUAL DISEASE — OBAATANPA FOUNDATION
The Chief Executive Officer of the Obaatanpa Foundation in the Wassa Amenfi East Municipality of the Western Region, Mrs Angela Ahimah Ebbah, has urged women to seek professional medical care when they notice unusual changes in their breasts.
She emphasised that breast cancer is a medical condition requiring proper diagnosis and treatment, cautioning against relying solely on spiritual interventions while delaying medical attention.
Mrs Ebbah made the appeal during a breast cancer awareness health walk at Wassa Akuropong, where she encouraged the public to prioritise breast health and seek timely medical assessment.
A Chief Midwife Officer at the Wassa Akuropong Government Hospital, Mrs Grace Opoku Adaipah, also educated participants on factors associated with breast cancer and the importance of awareness and early detection.
The campaign forms part of efforts to improve public understanding of breast cancer, encourage timely access to healthcare and reduce preventable deaths associated with the disease.
