ADUANA FC SUPPORTERS LEADER FIRES STRONG WARNING OVER REFEREEING

The Supporters’ Leader of Aduana Stars FC, Aygei Kwedwo, has delivered a strong and uncompromising message over what he describes as persistent unfair officiating in the Ghana Premier League. Speaking in a heated interview with Paul Napoleon on IcadTV Sports Scoreboard, Aygei Kwedwo defended Aduana’s recent press conference, insisting the club will no longer stay silent. “We Will Not Keep Quiet” According to him, Aduana FC have repeatedly been denied justice in crucial matches: In Kumasi, he insists the club was denied a clear penalty. On a second visit, another penalty appeal was rejected. At Samatex, he claimed the referee was openly against them. In Dormaa, he says the same pattern continued. Against Medeama SC, he alleged they were “cheated massively.” He stressed that Ghanaian clubs struggle in continental competitions partly due to questionable officiating standards at home. “If we don’t stay sharp, Ghana football will be damaged,” he warned. Direct Accusation Against Referee Aygei Kwedwo did not hold back when addressing referee Moses Armah Parker, accusing him of failing to apply the Laws of the Game properly. He alleged that during one match, the referee openly stated he would give Aduana players red cards. He described this as intimidation and unacceptable conduct. He further claimed the referee has a history of controversial decisions and suggested the pattern appears deliberate. However, he acknowledged that in a separate match involving Hohoe United, the referee officiated fairly and was applauded — proving, in his view, that fairness is possible when properly applied. “We Don’t Fear Relegation” In one of the strongest statements during the interview, the supporters’ leader said Aduana FC are not afraid of relegation if standing for fairness leads to consequences. “We don’t forgive. We don’t fear relegation,” he declared. He emphasized that the club is not asking for favouritism but equal treatment. “We didn’t say officiate in our favour. We are asking for fairness.” Protecting the Integrity of Ghana Football Aygei Kwedwo described some officiating practices as “fraud” and insisted Aduana’s press conference was meant to protect the credibility of Ghana football. He also clarified that he has no personal issue with “Nana,” maintaining that his concerns are strictly about fairness in matches, particularly the encounter with Medeama. The strong remarks add fresh tension to ongoing debates about officiating standards in the Ghana Premier League, with increasing pressure on authorities to address allegations and restore confidence in the system.
