SECURITY EXPERT SAYS 2027 RECRUITMENT MAY USE PREVIOUS APPLICANTS’ DATA
Security expert Mr. Andrews Tetteh Asiedu has described the possible use of previously submitted applicants’ data for future security service recruitment as a realistic option, following remarks attributed to the Interior Minister, Hon. Mutaka Mohammed, that there would be no new security recruitment exercise in 2027.
Speaking in an interview with Journalist Nhyiraba Kwabena Asirifi, Mr. Asiedu indicated that authorities could rely on existing applicant data rather than opening a completely new recruitment process.
He explained that the frequency of recruitment exercises could depend largely on the government’s financial capacity to pay newly recruited personnel.
According to him, recruitment could take place once, twice or even three times within a year, depending on available funds and the government’s ability to meet the associated financial obligations.
Mr. Asiedu stressed that financial considerations remain an important factor in determining when security agencies can recruit additional personnel.
He, however, suggested that the recruitment process must be handled transparently to avoid creating unnecessary difficulties for applicants.
