POLITICAL ANALYST URGES NPP TO PRESENT CLEAR POLICY ALTERNATIVES AHEAD OF 2028
Political Analyst Mr. Emmanuel Osei Amponsah has called on the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to present a clear policy vision and practical proposals as it prepares for the 2028 general elections.
During an interview with Journalist Nhyiraba Kwabena Asirifi, Mr. Amponsah referred to the Free Senior High School policy introduced under former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, highlighting the importance of political parties presenting programmes that respond to the needs of Ghanaians.
He also referred to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government's proposed 1:3:3 education structure, arguing that the NPP should explain its position and present its own policy alternatives for public consideration.
Mr. Amponsah urged the new NPP leadership to communicate its plans on education, employment, economic development and other national priorities.
According to him, Ghanaians need to hear specific proposals from the party rather than general political promises.
He stressed that the new executives should outline their vision, explain how they intend to implement their policies and demonstrate how those proposals would benefit the country.
Mr. Amponsah concluded that the public should be given the opportunity to assess the party's ideas and performance over time.
