*NHYIRABA KWABENA ASIRIFI CRITICISES INTERIOR MINISTER OVER SECURITY RECRUITMENT*
Journalist Nhyiraba Kwabena Asirifi has criticised the Minister for the Interior, Hon. Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, over concerns about recruitment into Ghana’s security agencies, particularly regarding employment opportunities for the youth who supported the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) during the 2024 general elections. Mr. Asirifi argued that young people who worked hard to bring the NDC into power are expecting the government to address their employment concerns, including opportunities within the security services. He urged the Interior Minister to ensure transparency and fairness in the recruitment process, stressing that qualified young people should have equal opportunities to serve the country. According to him, the expectations of party supporters should not be ignored, as growing dissatisfaction among the youth could affect their confidence in the government. He therefore called on the Interior Minister and other relevant authorities to address the concerns surrounding security recruitment and ensure that the process is fair and transparent. *Reported by: Nana Kwasi Enyan | ICAD TV*
