HON.ISAAC OPOKU SAYS GOVERNMENT MANIFESTO PROMISES ON COCOA FARMERS, ORAL AND LGBTQ+ “ARE ALL LIES”

On the Ghana Nti morning show on ICAD TV, hosted by Nana Nhyiraba Kwabena Asirifi, the Member of Parliament for Offinso South, Isaac Opoku, criticized the government over what he described as unfulfilled manifesto promises. He focused on issues affecting cocoa farmers, claiming that concerns about payments and price improvements have not been properly addressed. He also touched on the ORAL initiative (Operation Recover All Loots) and the LGBTQ+ debate, saying expectations set during the political campaign have not been met. According to him, commitments made in opposition and during the campaign period are not being reflected in government actions, describing them as “all lies.” He also raised concerns about sole sourcing practices and questioned the consistency of government policy decisions, urging accountability and clarity on major national issues.
