Ghana Nti on icadtv Today Relationship counsellor Kweku Adumatta has called for calm, empathy and responsible judgment following reports involving a Russian man who allegedly travelled to Ghana and had relationships with several Ghanaian women. Speaking on Ghana Nti Today on ICAD TV, hosted by Nana Nhyiraba Kwabena Asirifi, the counsellor stressed that while the incident has generated public debate, affected individuals should not be ridiculed or labelled. “Mistakes Do Not End a Life” Mr. Adumatta stated that whatever may have occurred should not define the women involved for the rest of their lives. “What happened may be a mistake, but it does not mean the world has come to an end,” he said. He emphasised that public criticism and mockery could cause long-term emotional harm, not only to the individuals but also to their families. Reputation and Life Choices The counsellor advised young women to carefully assess their decisions, especially when influenced by money, appearance or perceived social status. He warned against trading long-term reputation and future security for short-term excitement or financial gain. According to him: Every action has consequences. Perception in society can be difficult to change. Young women must place value on themselves. It is important to minimise risks when making life choices. Encouragement Over Mockery Mr. Adumatta added that instead of condemnation, society should focus on encouragement, growth and rebuilding. He also pointed out that many women compare themselves to others unnecessarily, urging them to focus on personal worth and long-term goals.
