Frimpong also commended President Mahama for approving decisions that upheld the law and strengthened democratic processes. He noted that fair elections are crucial, and both the President and the EC deserve applause when they follow due process. He recalled past practices under Nkrumah, where Chief Justices could be dismissed if found at fault, highlighting the importance of maintaining legal accountability in a modern democracy. Regarding Ghana Month (March 6), Frimpong reminded citizens to honor all national heroes, not just Nkrumah. He expressed satisfaction that the Kotoka Airport name change occurred ahead of the celebrations, allowing the nation to remember those who contributed to Ghana’s independence. On the cocoa industry, he noted that perishable goods like cocoa are often exported raw because local processing is limited. This leaves pricing largely to foreign buyers, meaning if the products aren’t sold quickly, they can perish, reducing farmers’ income. He emphasized that government and citizens must focus on solutions that benefit farmers and strengthen local processing.
