ALEX NTI SAYS NOTHING WRONG WITH PRESIDENT’S ECONOMIC ADVISORY COMMITTEE.

Accra, Ghana – On this morning’s Ghana Nti Today with Nana Nhyiraba Kwabena Asrifi, social political analyst Alex Emmanuel Nti said there is nothing wrong with the President’s appointment of the 12-member Economic Advisory Committee, describing it as a positive step for Ghana’s economy. Mr. Nti explained that the committee, sworn in by President John Dramani Mahama on 11 February 2026, brings together experienced professionals who can offer expert guidance on national economic policy. He highlighted notable members, including Togbe Afede XIV, Dr. Kwabena Duffuor, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, and Sir Samuel Esson Jonah, saying their experience will help strengthen decision-making, attract investment, and promote economic growth. “There is nothing wrong in appointing this committee. Expert advice is important for good governance and better economic outcomes,” Mr. Nti said. Addressing concerns about age, he added that merit and expertise matter more than age, and Ghanaians should focus on the committee’s results, not personal attributes. He concluded that the committee’s work could enhance job creation, price stability, and investor confidence, benefiting the country as a whole.
