AKOKO NKITSINKITI POULTRY PROJECT IN ABLEKUMA WEST-HON. GEORGE ALLOTEY KPAKPO.

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ablekuma West, George Kpakpo Allotey, shared updates on the Akoko Nkitsinkiti poultry project during an interview with Nana Nhyiraba Kwabena Asirifi on ICAD TV’s morning show Ghana Nti Today. The project aims to promote small-scale poultry farming and encourage local food production in the municipality. 5,000 chicks were distributed in early January, and another 5,000 on January 25, totaling 10,000 chicks. Officials visited beneficiaries’ homes to ensure they have enough space and the capacity to care for the birds. Additional beneficiaries may be selected, but the number will not exceed 20 new participants. The MCE said the project encourages residents to produce their own food, generate income, and reduce reliance on imported poultry. He added that the Agriculture Department will continue to monitor beneficiaries to ensure the program succeeds.
