ENERGY EXPERT KWADWO POKU ADDRESSES POWER OUTAGE CONCERNS IN GHANA.

Mr. Kwadwo Poku, an energy expert, addressed concerns about power outages during an interview on ICAD TV’s Ghana Nti Morning Show with Nana Nhyiraba Kwabena Asrifi. Poku explained that energy challenges in Ghana are often location-specific, and reports of overloaded transformers in some areas do not necessarily reflect nationwide problems. He clarified that while some residents claimed the government added “1 cedi on fuel” to pay electricity debts, transformer overloads are unrelated to fuel costs, which only affect power generation. “Our team is investigating to provide accurate answers. Right now, I don’t have tangible reasons for some of the complaints, but we are working to get facts,” Poku said. The expert urged the public to avoid generalizing energy problems and emphasized that solutions must be based on proper data and technical investigation.
