DR. DONKOH SUPPORTS HON. MUNTAKA: GHANA SHOULD FOCUS ON CULTIVATING LOCAL HERBS
Dr. George Donkoh, CEO of Noble Trust Herbal Clinic, has backed calls for Ghana to cultivate its local herbs, highlighting their medicinal benefits, economic potential, and health value. Speaking with Nana Nhyiraba Kwabena Asirifi on ICAD TV’s Morning Show Ghana Nti Today, Dr. Donkoh responded to comments made by Alhaji Muntaka Mubarak, who urged Ghana to focus on growing its own herbal resources. Hon. Muntaka noted that cultivating local herbs would be beneficial for the nation’s health and economy. Supporting this idea, Dr. Donkoh said Ghanaian herbs are highly effective, particularly for skin care, and can treat a wide range of illnesses. What Hon. Muntaka said is very good, Dr. Donkoh explained. “Cultivating local herbs in Ghana is an excellent idea. It can improve health, help treat many illnesses, and create economic opportunities for our country.” Dr. Donkoh also addressed concerns about marijuana, cautioning that recreational use is harmful and can damage the brain. He clarified that the variety of cannabis approved by the government for cultivation is safe and suitable for medicinal and industrial purposes. “Ghana can earn additional income from herbs, especially through hair and skincare products, and even export some of them. The profitability is enormous,” he added. On a different topic, Dr. Donkoh gave advice on sexual health, responding to questions about men needing multiple sexual sessions in one day. He said that excessive sexual activity is unnecessary and could harm men’s health. “It’s not about quantity but about maintaining good health,” he explained. Dr. Donkoh’s remarks underscore the importance of Ghana’s herbal resources for health, wellness, and economic development, while emphasizing responsible use of substances and moderation in lifestyle practices.
