DIANA NYONKOPAH DANIELS CALLS FOR RESPONSIBLE POLITICAL DISCOURSE
President of Peace Watch Ghana, Diana Nyonkopah Daniels, has called on politicians to reduce inflammatory rhetoric and promote responsible political discourse. Speaking in an interview with journalist Nhyiraba Kwabena Asirifi, she criticised what she described as political accusations and misinformation within the country's political space. She also expressed concern about repeated references to alleged coup plots, arguing that such matters should be handled carefully by the appropriate security institutions and should not become tools for partisan political exchanges. Diana Nyonkopah Daniels further criticised statements attributed to some NPP figures, including Baffour Awuah and Hon. Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, former MP, while urging political leaders across both the NPP and NDC to prioritise truth, accountability, national unity and Ghana's democratic stability. She stressed that political differences should not undermine the peace and security of the country.
