AMA SEY ADVOCATES PEPPER SPRAY FOR WOMEN'S PERSONAL SAFETY

Former Akwatia MP Ama Sey has advocated for women to have access to pepper spray as a means of protecting themselves against potential threats. Speaking to journalist Nhyiraba Kwabena Asirifi, Ama Sey said there was nothing wrong with her suggestion, stressing that women should be equipped to protect themselves when faced with danger. She explained that she had not personally carried pepper spray for a long time, but maintained that women should be encouraged to take reasonable measures to enhance their personal safety. She also called for respect for the decisions of party delegates who voted in the recent NPP internal elections, saying the choice of the voters should be respected.
